Watsonville Charter School of The Arts

The WCSA Gay-Straight Alliance club for middle school students was started in the fall of 2017, and meets at lunch on Wednesdays. In January 2019 a group of fabulous 5th grade trailblazers started GSA Junior for 3rd-5th grade students, which was limited to 4th-5th grades in 2021 because our schedules were changed so that 3rd grade had a different lunch time. So in Fall 2021, we started our Be Yourself Club for 2nd and 3rd grade students.

 

All three of our clubs provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ students and their allies, and work to make WCSA a safer, more welcoming place for everyone. 

 

We are proud to say that WCSA is a very supportive, inclusive place for all students!
